Myron Gates

Myron Gates of Lady Lakes Fla. passed away after a brief illness July 24, 2010 at age 99. Born February 24, 1911 in Oswego NY, Myron raised his family in Liverpool NY. He worked 41 years as a brakeman / conductor for the Erie Lackawanna Railway out of Syracuse NY and in 1977, moved to Sanford Florida. Predeceased by his wife Emily Osmond Gates in 1988 after 54 years of marriage and his daughter Martha (Walt) Nels of Liverpool NY, he is survived by three children: Don (Frieda) Gates of The Villages FL, Judy (Gerald) Massie of Springfield Ohio and James (Karen) Gates of Farmington NY; 9 grand, 13 great grand, and 2 great great grandchildren; several friends and fellow bowlers.
Internment at Riverside Cemetery in Oswego NY will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospeace House 7824 W. Hollow Rd. Naples, NY 14512.
