Paul Gordon, of Ridge Rd. Canandaigua, passed away peacefully August 17, 2011 at home, with his family by his side.
The son of the late Henry and Gertrude Gordon, He served with the United States Air force during the Korean War (1948 – 1952), as a radio operator instructor.
Paul owned and operated an architectural photographic business called Design Photographics during the late 50’s and early 60’s. He had a love of fine photography, woodworking, and music. In 1974, He became a graduate of RIT with a degree in photography.
After a 28 year career with Eastman Kodak, Paul retired in 1991 as a senior marketing communications coordinator.
Paul was a member of the Honeoye Falls Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed spending summers with his family, on their island in Canada, communing with nature.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years; Sally Lara Gordon, children; Betsy (Melvin) Baxter, of Canandaigua, Karl (Eulogia) Gordon, of Newark, Katharine (Dennis) McGahey, of Canandaigua, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister; Lois Ehrin, of Collegeville P.A., brother; David (Carol) Gordon, of Pittsburg, P.A, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother-in-law; Melvin J. Ehrin.
Friends may call Sunday, August 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 a.m. memorial service will be held Monday, August 22 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Canandaigua’s Woodlawn Cemetery.
