FRANK GORGONZOLA
MANCHESTER: Frank Gorgonzola, 86, of State St., died November 5, 2011 at his home.
A Yonkers, NY native, Frank served with the U.S. Navy during WW-2 and retired from the V.A. medical system where he had been chief of the pharmacy at several facilities. He was a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Carol McClure Figenscher Gorgonzola, Manchester; his children Gale (Michael) Nicholson, Victor, Kristine (George) Scofield, Spencer, NY, Frank (Nancy Mellegard) Gorgonzola,Jr., Phelps, Mark (Aiquynh Cao)Gorgonzola, Perinton and David (Karen) Gorgonzola, Honey Brook, PA; the mother of his children Anna Gorgonzola, Canandaigua; his step-sons Daniel (Jody Barbarito) Fignescher, Farmington, John (Carolyn) Figenscher, Vero Beach, FL; his step-daughter and God Daughter Faith Gayle (Frank) Warner, Manchester; his grandchildren Jason Gorgonzola, Alina and Amelia Scofield, Patrick and Benjamin Gorgonzola and Kevin Nicholson; his step-grandchildren Dustin, David, Aaron, Daniel and Mariah Figenscher; his sister-in-law Sonja Burlingham, Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews and his best friend Kitty.
There will be no prior calling hours and funeral services will be private. The family suggests that memorials be directed to the Shortsville Volunteer Ambulance, 5 Sheldon St., Shortsville, NY 14548.
