Former Hopewell Resident

MARION: James was born on June 8, 1920 in Livonia and passed away on Tuesday, March 27 with his family by his side. Jim was a longtime resident of Hopewell where he was a farmer and a seed and fertilizer dealer. He loved to spend time at their Black Lake cottage fishing. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his many friends throughout this area and the Black Lake area.

He was predeceased by his wife Helen J. Rowley, his daughter Linda Strub, his son James T. Rowley, six brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his partner Lucille W. LaClair, son Michael J. (Tami O’Donnell) Rowley, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

By his request, there will be no calling hours and a private service by the family. Contributions may be made to Marion Ambulance, Maple Ave., Marion, NY 14505 or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Newark Hospital, especially Two South, and all those who got to share Jim’s quick wit and sense of humor. I
