Obituary of Clayton R. Sickmond

Bob Sickmond passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024. Bob was born on February 17, 1938 to Marjorie (Dobbin) Sickmond and Charles Raymond Sickmond in Clyde, NY. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Diane (Laske) Sickmond; two sons Steven (Peggy), Scott (Sandra); six grandchildren Christopher (Jamie), Jennifer (Ivan LaMotta), Robert (Renee), Matthew (Stephanie), Jeremiah (Kristina), Jacob (Lauren); and fourteen great-grandchildren. Bob retired from Kodak in 1991 after a long career as a Distribution manager. He traveled many times to the Far East and throughout Europe during his career. During his active retirement years he enjoyed working on his Christmas tree farm, hunting, hiking the Adirondack high peaks, and woodworking. He worked and volunteered for the Ontario County ARC. He loved traveling around the country to visit his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also volunteered as a Cornell Certified Woodlot Inspector where he helped other landowners manage their woodlots. Bob's Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 15, 2024 at 2:00PM at the East Bloomfield Congregational Church. In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org), or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org).
